MY PRACTICE INFO & FAQ

+ WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM THERAPY?

Martine will provide you with a warm, supportive, non-judgmental environment to work through life stressors, events and transitions in order to develop increased self-awareness and improved confidence and self-esteem. Martine believes that “what you put into therapy is what you get out” and clients who are actively involved in therapy may see faster results than those who take a move passive approach. Ultimately it is a tool for transformation, re-finding your authentic self and finding more balance in your life.

+ HOW LONG WILL I BE IN THERAPY?

The length of time a person chooses to stay in therapy depends on the individual. It depends upon what your individual goals are and what you are hoping to get out of therapy. During our initial consultation, we will determine what your goals are for therapy and whether short or long-term therapy is best for you. I value open communication, and will engage in periodic conversations with you about your care.

+ DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

I am an out-of-network provider which means I do not accept insurance directly. However, I help my clients with reimbursement process providing you with a monthly receipt. In my experience, most my clients are reimbursed for 60 to 80% for the cost of their sessions if they have out-of-network mental health coverage. So that there are no surprises, I suggest that you call your insurance company to find out what your benefits are for out-of-network reimbursement. Please call the toll free number (usually found on the back of your insurance card) and speak with a plan representative. If you are coming to see me for individual therapy, inform the representative that you are planning on first accessing an Individual Initial Evaluation (CPT Code 90791) and then ongoing Individual Therapy (CPT code 90834). You are asking about, what is called, outpatient mental health services. You will tell the representative that you will be seeing Martine Rosenberg, LCSW. I am considered an “out-of-network” provider.

The following are other specific questions to ask the representative:

  1. Do I have mental health coverage?
  2. Do I have out-of-network benefits?
  3. Do I have a deductible?
  4. How much of that deductible has been met?
  5. Is it a calendar year or is the period calculated on a different schedule?
For example, many plans for school or college employees run on a school calendar.
  6. What percentage will your insurance company pay for each session?
  7. Is this percentage based on the actual amount that the therapist bills for their services?
  8. What is the maximum number of sessions allowed per year?

If you decide to use your out-of-network benefits, I will provide you with documentation to submit to your insurance company. Your insurance company will issue a check to you which can cover a percentage of your cost. It’s that easy!
Note: One of the benefits of going out-of-network is that your records remain completely private, and are not subject to in-network disclosure requirements.

+ HOW LONG IS A SESSION?

Sessions are 45- 50 minutes in duration.

+ WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

I accept cash, check, and credit card. Payment is due at the time of your scheduled therapy session.

+ HOW DO I GET STARTED?

It’s simple! I offer you a complimentary 15 minute phone consultation where I can learn a little bit about you, your reasons seeking therapy, as well as tell you about my background and practice in order to determine if we may be a good fit.
